The South Side Sanctuary

The South Side Sanctuary serves as a transformative gathering place rooted in art, design, and community in the heart of Bronzeville. Recognizing the need for more amenities and green space on Chicago’s South Side, a group of leaders created a vibrant community hub where residents gather for wellness, recreation, business development, and creative expression. Led by I Am Your Village, the nonprofit arm of the business development firm The Nascent Group, and OASES, a regenerative development firm, the project transformed a long-vacant lot into a vibrant, multifunctional space that brings people together and breathes new life into the neighborhood.
